DNS server problems are sometimes got complicated and becomes a headache for some people.

Method 1

So now its time to fix your connection to the internet. For this you need to reset your IP address.

Go to Start and type Cmd, Right click on Cmd and run as an administrator [As it requires some special permissions to access ].

Type netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

netsh transfer network shell and int internal ip is internet protocol. This command resets your net IP address. Press enter after typing, as to execute the command in CMD that says.

Restart the computer to complete this action.

You need to restart the computer to take some effect. After restarting you need to reset Win sock. Again open Cmd mention as above and type netsh winsock reset

Press enter and you will be getting  a message in the CMD like this.

The last and final thing you need to do is to flush the DNS.

Type ipconfig /flushdns Press enter

Method 2

Go to Start and type ncpa.cpl This will open your network connections and you can see your all network connections. Select your network connection which is used to connect internet in your PC. Right click and select properties, as this will opens the network properties. Now select Internet protocol version 4(TCP/IPv4) and click on its properties.

Now click on Use The Following DNS Server Addresses: and fill open source DNS.

Preferred DNS Server  – 208. 67. 222. 222

Alternate DNS Server – 208. 67. 220. 220

Press OK button and close. Now go to your network connections and disconnect your internet and reconnect it again. Your DNS error problem is now fixed.

Method 3

Use Google public DNS – How to configure your network settings using Google public DNS. For this you need to go to control panel and click on Network and Sharing Center. Click on Manage network connections and select the network which you need to configure the Google public DNS. Right click and select properties of your network. On the networking tab select Internet protocol version 4(TCP/IPv4) and select its properties. [Note – Backup your previous DNS setting if present]

Select Use The Following DNS Server Addresses: Replace both the Preferred DNS Server and Alternate DNS Server with the following digits.

Preferred DNS Server – 8  ,   8  .  8  .  8

Alternate DNS Server – 8  .   8  .  4  .  4

Click OK and close the properties windows. You must restart the connection to make the changes effective. Right click on your connection and select Disable, and Enable with in 3 seconds. Now test your internet browser to make sure that your net is working fine.
