As this video editing software is available from Black magic design, that sells a paid version known as DaVinci Resolve studio. If you like to get the free package make sure that you download only DaVinci Resolve.

DaVinci Resolve is a highly professional video editor that is based on 5 Tab interface. As these interfaces comprise a media screen footage, a very comprehensive multi-track editor & a color Tab which can be used for all kinds of color adjustments with a green screen composite.

Next with a Tab for the Fair light audio editor & lastly a deliver Tab for rendering out your final video. 6. Avid Media Composer | First

Avid media composer still is a capable version of the industry-leading editor & hence a great package to learn if you like to work in professional video & film production. The package is limited to a maximum of 4 video tracks. Moreover, the interface in Avid media composer first is very professional.

The input & output format is fairly limited & most of the footage has to be transcoded for editing which consumes time & disk space. The output of Avid media composer is also limited to quick time formats at 1080p.

7. Lightworks

As Lightworks is a professionally focused package with a nice uncluttered interface but lacks standard OS menus. The menus are available by clicking on relevant panels.

Like DaVinci Resolve, it is based on Tabs, in which the footage is ingested. An edit Tab in which editing takes place & a visual effects Tab in which effects & transitions are added & adjusted. In the Lightworks, working with transitions in a separate Tab just takes some getting used to.

But it facilitated the uncluttered main interface & forces a professional workflow on the editor. There is another separate Tab in Lightworks for working on your projects audio.

Video production software

Moreover, light works have been used to cut many Hollywood movies having a very good import format support. The output is limited to 720p in the free version. Although YouTube or Vimeo uploaded this resolution is included. For installing the Lightworks, the minimum system requirements are 3 GB of RAM & 1 GB of Graphics card.
