Battlefield 5: useful Medic, mini-map & squad menu revised
Battlefield 5 Revised
Visitors to Gamescom can currently still try Battlefield 5 – assuming stamina. Those who have waited in queues long enough, however, report several interesting innovations. The Medic now seems to be much more effective. Besides a syringe, he can carry two more items with him after a Reddit contribution.
In the concrete case, it concerns a grenade launcher and units. However, he should be able to carry other items in their place, which doesn’t make him a super soldier, but someone you shouldn’t underestimate on the battlefield. Players have been demanding this for years.
The mini-map and squad menu has also been revised. Teammates now appear next to the map with a small, circular health bar. Players should, therefore, be better informed about the situation of their fellow players from now on.

Battlefield 5 on PS4
Besides new trailers, several raytracing demos were shown at Gamescom a few days ago, not all of which have been running smoothly yet. At the coming battlefield, however, a stable 60 Fps has already been achieved. According to the developer, buyers of a Geforce RTX graphics card would not have to fear frame break-ins. Meanwhile, it became known that the Battle Royal mode of Battlefield 5 would be developed by another team. However, the fact that it will not be submitted until after publication in October does not change. Read more about this in a separate message, more about the game on our PCGH theme page.
In the course of the recently closed alpha phase of Battlefield 5, DICE has collected numerous feedback on the upcoming shooter. This has not always been positive. The colleagues from PC Games described the new part as “pretty Battlefield 1 with a change of setting” and emphasized the still inadequate balancing.
Release date
Until the launch of Battlefield 5, there should be at least one Open Beta of the Shooter. At the same time, the developers held out the prospect of further public test runs, the form, and scope of which is still unknown. Battlefield 5 will be released on October 19, 2018, for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. More current news and interesting articles about the game can be found on our theme page.
