First of all you need to login to Skype for business to change these settings. Be sure to login with your Organization credentials, not your own Skype name or Microsoft account.

You can record a Skype meeting in 1080p. When you have started a Skype meeting, you can just click on the three dots on the lower right corner for recording in 1080p. Now click on the first option Start Recording. By default it record your meetings in 720p, so if you like to set it to a higher resolution in HD, then go into your Skype settings. As it opens Skype for business options, now click on Recording & check 1080p Full HD.

So if you have an effective Skype meeting, then make sure to click on the meeting options for your calendar entry. Under the permissions, you have a choice for who you like to wait in a lobby. If you set this option to “only me, the meeting organizer” then each & everyone will be left waiting in the lobby until you start your meeting. If you select “Anyone”, then everyone will be able to connect into the meeting without having to wait in the lobby.

This can be done in the Skype for business settings. Go to the settings, under personal select the check box stating “Update my presence based on my calendar information”. Now this will update your contacts & let them know when you are in a meeting. You can also make your contacts public as well as private.

You can also set DND [Do Not Disturb] while meeting. For this go to Skype for business settings. Select the Status option from the list & select “Show me as Do Not Disturb when I share my desktop”, to notify people that you are in a personal meeting or busy.
The Skype for business ties directly into Microsoft Outlook. All you need is to click on a new Skype meeting, when you are in your calendar. The Skype automatically assign your dial in numbers & a link to your Skype meetings. You need to just type your contacts in the TO: then put in your Subject line & click send.
With the help of Skype for business, you can also share a PowerPoint file. If you like to share a large PowerPoint file then it is better to load it to the cloud. For this click on the share content then select share PowerPoint files. Now choose your file & uploaded it to the cloud platform. Once you have loaded it, again click on the share content & you can go into manage content to control the settings for that particular file. You can lock that file, remove it or make available for other people etc.

To add a phone number, go to the Skype settings, Click on Phones in the list. You can see there are multiple phone numbers to fill in like Work phone, Mobile phone, Home phone or other phone etc. So you can add your Mobile, Home or other phone number & make them available in your contact card to other people.
