Top 6 Inventors

Inventors throughout history, a few scientists have made revolutionary inventions that have changed mankind’s perspectives on things and provided solutions to numerous problems. What makes these inventions unique is the ideology and the people behind them.

Scientists are someone who investigates the secret of nature and creates something useful through their discoveries. Engineering colleges in Pune also help in admissions into science departments that lead to inventors such as them.

Here are a few of the revolutionary scientists that have made scientific breakthroughs throughout history which revolutionized mankind forever.

Robert Hooke

Robert Hooke lived from 1635 – 1703. He discovered plant cells and also invented Hooke’s law of elasticity. Moreover, he also invented the balance playing which was essential in pocket watches to display accurate time.

He also invented the machine that cut cogs used in watches. This helped mechanics in developing watch mechanisms which were so precise that they hadn’t imagined.

Louis Pasteur

Louis Pasteur lived from 1822 – 1895. He discovered that few of the molecules have mirror images which are also known as the left and right-handed versions of a chemical compound. Before his discovery, it was believed that bacteria could spontaneously be formed anywhere.

He is also very famously known for his discovery of the process of pasteurization which he patents in 1862. Pasteurization was the process where brewery products like milk, wine, and beer were heated between 100 and 60-degree centigrade to kill the living bacteria in them which prevent them from going bad.

Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin lived from 1706 – 1790. He is very famously known for his discovery of the law of conservation of electric charge. This law helped him prove that lightning is in fact a form of electricity.

He also invented the lightning rod which is still used in modern structures to prevent the lightning strike from hitting buildings. He is also known to be the inventor of bifocal spectacles and the Franklin Stove.

Issac Newton

Isaac Newton lived from 1643 to 1727. Newton is most popularly known for creating the 3 laws of motion and gravity. Albert Einstein also happens to mention that Isaac Newton is one of the smartest people to have lived among us.

The laws of motion battery discovered became the basis for modern physics. Calculus was derived out of this and great technological advancements followed.

Stephen Hawking

The Stephen Hawking was born in 1942. Stephen Hawking visited Oxford University in England. His parents were also graduates from Oxford University.

Stephen Hawking is best known for his theory about Hawking radiation and the book he wrote called ‘A brief history of time’. A movie was also made about his life showing struggles that Stephen Hawking had to go through.

Pierre Curie

He lived from 1859 to 1906. Both Pierre Curie and his spouse Marie Curie awarded the Nobel prize in 1903. He is also known for his discovery of piezoelectric quartz electrometer which he discovered two decades prior to winning the Nobel prize.

His piezoelectric quartz electrometer also helped him in measuring values which contributed to his Nobel prize-winning.

Engineering Colleges in Pune can help a person attain the knowledge they need in order to be as famous as these scientists.
