Android P: The next version of Android

The next version of Android by Google

Android P is one of the incremental updates again new letter versions. So there are lots of changes in Android P with some interesting features. As it starts or reboot with lots of different colors, if lock the screen or restart, it will change colors. Android P is supported by Google with developer preview. As there are some actually pretty cool new things to know about Android P.

Android P features

1. Visuals

There are just a couples of smaller things in look & feel tweaks. The clock is over to the left corner now, as it used to be on the right. It still changes color if you have a dark wallpaper, it will be a light clock & if you have a light wallpaper, then it will be dark. The App drawer also has more defined dock instead of a gradient shade behind in it. The main thing is the quick settings up at the top of Android P. Everything is in the circle now, with lots of rounded corners & smoothed off edges.

2. Quick settings

As this is one of those things in Android that always seems to tweak & like in every new version. So it comprises with all new blue & white look with edged circles & scrolling list instead of left to right sliding at UI. It also has big bar at the bottom. With just a one press toggle, the quick settings appears having a bunch of other settings. So if you long press any of the settings in Android P, it will take you back into the menu.

3. Volume controls

So pressing the volume buttons adjusts the media volume by default in Android P. Android P contains a volume bar slightly down, over the side now. As it goes up & down instead of left to right, so now it matches the volume button on the phone. There is also a button at the bottom to switch between ringer modes. Like Vibrate, Volume on or Silent. Moreover you can also view your connected devices at the top, if you have Wireless headphone or Bluetooth speakers etc.

4. Manual rotation

So when you have a rotation lock on in Android P & you rotate the display anyway, it will gives you a small button at the corner for manually rotating. You just like to manually rotate, what you are doing this one time, which is handy.

5. App settings

In Android P version, they got some color in there. All of the App icons are big round in colorful circles on the left side. Each & every App icon is of different color. So it’s pretty clean with the round setting search bar at the top of all Apps.

6. Themes

So if you go into settings & then in display & themes, there are couple of different themes that stimulate at the top of the Android P. So the developers can see what the App would look like on the phone, like its behavior, working or laid out properly etc. There is a small notch at the top like some essential phone might have [iPhone 10]. This as a tool for developers to make their Apps to support their phones.

Main changes in Android P

You can now mark up screenshots as soon as you take them that is built in this welcome edition. The addition, the battery saver mode can now be toggled on automatically at any battery percentage between 5 or 70 %. Moreover the text selection now has a zoom lens which lets you more precisely select text. Moreover the background Apps in the Android P cannot use the microphones or camera anymore.
